Description

The first entry in the critically acclaimed Etrian Odyssey series is back, now on the Nintendo 3DS! Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl offers two full length experiences: The expanded story mode takes players on a journey to unravel the mystery of the Yggdrasil Tree's origins, and the classic mode updates the original Etrian Odyssey. Both versions feature the same gameplay conveniences, updated 3D graphics, and StreetPass abilities as in Etrian Odyssey IV.

As the Highlander, meet the investigation team from the Midgrad Library and the mysterious amnesiac Frederica as you work toward a common goal: discovering the truth behind the anomalies plaguing Etria and the secrets locked in Frederica's memory.

Create a party of up to five characters from nine different classes to explore the Yggdrasil Labyrinth. The plot is slightly different from that of the Story Mode. Saved data can be carried over between modes, so you can play Classic after finishing the Story.

The newest installment in the Etrian Odyssey has arrived!

The first Etrian Odyssey game was released in 2007.

The game was very favorably received for its unique play style in which players use the stylus to record their progress through the sprawling mazes, as well as for the game's refreshing challenge.

Now, in 2013, the series has been reborn with Etrian Odyssey Untold. The original game has been improved with a new, captivating story, unique and charming characters, and a newly recreated Labyrinth in full 3D.

The hero is a young Highlander, a member of one of the many clans from the Highland area, who receives an unusual request and travels to the town of Etria.

The request was to "investigate an abnormality occurring in Etria."

The town's ruling council has sent for a Highlander to search for the source of a series of mysterious earthquakes and sounds that has begun to trouble the city in recent months. In the course of his investigation, he meets an amnesiac girl named Frederica.

A trio of researchers from the Midgard Library, an institution several settlements over, has come to Etria to seek out the same abnormalities. After a chance encounter with the three, they introduce themselves as Simon, Arthur, and Raquna. It soon becomes apparent that there is a need for all of them to delve into the challenging wilderness of the Yggdrasil Labyrinth, which has some deep connection with a set of strange ruins.

What could these abnormalities be? All the keys to this puzzle remain locked in the memories of the girl...

RAQUNA

A protector who acts as the frontline fighter for the Midgard Library's Investigation Team. Though she is of royal birth, she is an easygoing and straightforward woman, making her easy to get along with. She has the most common sense out of all her companions, but will also never turn down the opportunity to visit the local tavern.

HERO

The game's central character. He is a Highlander who has been hired by the Radha, and so makes his way to Etria.

FREDERICA

A girl with amnesia who was found in an mysterious ruin. Because she has no memories, she tends to be cautious of others, but she is a kind girl with an exuberance fitting her age.

ARTHUR

The last member of Midgard Library's Investigation Team, and a young alchemist who is skilled in elemental attacks. He lacks foresight and often makes bolder claims than he can carry out, but he has utmost faith in his team's leader, Simon.

SIMON

The leader of the Investigation Team dispatched by the Midgard Library. He and his team have come to the unknown ruin to investigate the truth behind the recent abnormalities. He is highly knowledgeable and knows much about the Labyrinth's monsters and ancient civilizations. He is a reliable medic who calmly supports his companions at all times.
